This information acts as a baseline early-warning system. It tells us instantly if a hive is thriving, struggling, or dead. This 24/7 monitoring is invaluable, especially when it's raining, windy, or late at night when a beekeeper cannot physically access the hive.

Honey eDNA Analysis

Seasonally, we sequence a sample of your honey in our lab for environmental DNA. Because bees act as hard-working data collectors foraging in up to a 5km radius, they interact with far more flora and fauna than humans ever could.

As bioindicators, they allow us to benchmark species richness and measure true ecological impact. If you plant a native garden, and 6 months later those plants appear in the eDNA sample, you have proven data that your sustainability programs are working.

Importantly, this analysis contributes to building green certifications, and can even reveal the presence of endangered species in your urban canopy, allowing us to share vital distribution data with environmental research partners.
